Service Description

Enhanced Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx) Architecture-related technical services, performed on behalf of the Owner by the Building Enclosure Commissioning Provider (BECxP) that is NM Building Envelope Architects (NMBEA) in accordance with the requirements set forth by ASTM E2813, ASHRAE and specific conditions of the project. Beginning early during Project Design phase, the BECxP provides initial review and comments to the Design Professional Team for constructability that involves several Specification Divisions including Concrete, Masonry, Structural Steel, AESS Framing, Wood, all of Division 7, Division 8, and Division 9, as well as portions of the MEP disciplines for coordination of building performance parameters. Following constructability review, the BECxP agent will assist with construction phase work including evaluation and implementation of several QA/QC checklists that facilitate Project specific inspections of the appropriate trade divisions for a fully weatherproof, airtight, watertight, and long-term durable construction project.
